English. It is also a fun class. I liked the group project we did on Digital Law. It was fun because I like working in groups. I look forward to learning about grammar. The teacher is Mrs. Hill.
October
We did Making Laws Webquest, paragraphs, sharing lesson plan with Social Studies, gold packets, and spelling.
November
Persuasive Writing- To begin writing persuasively, we learned how to effectively argue. We discussed different cases, such as wearing armbands to school and wearing band t-shirts to school. I learned that arguing is an important subject to know. Eventually, I chose my own topic in order to write a persuasive essay. My main argument was that Jimmy John's is the best sandwich restaurant ever.
Blue Ribbon Ceremony-I chose someone that made a positive difference in my life. In preparation for the Blue Ribbon Ceremony, I decorated a blue ribbon, a 6-word memoir about my guest, and constructed a paragraph describing why and how my guest impacted my life in a positive way. I got to present my guest with these artifacts at the Blue Ribbon Ceremony on Friday, November 16, 2012. My favorite part of this activity was honoring my grandma.
December
Entrepreneurship Project-The business I chose was Snyder Construction. Me and Gabe were able to interview the Synder's Human and Resources manager. He is the head of the company when the owners are busy. One of the most interesting things I learned from the interview was the Snyder Construction was founded in 1951. I am looking foward to our documentary.
